Introduction

247 Rapid Response Ltd is committed to combatting modern slavery and human trafficking in all areas of its operations. We operate with a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all business dealings and relationships.

This statement outlines the actions taken in 2025 to identify and mitigate the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking within our organisation and supply chain and outlines our ongoing commitment to further mitigation efforts in 2026.

Modern Slavery Act 2015

Under section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, UK organisations with a certain turnover are required to publish a statement setting out the steps taken to ensure modern slavery is not taking place within their business or supply chains.

Modern slavery includes slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour, and human trafficking. At 247 Rapid Response, we recognise the seriousness of these issues and our duty to prevent and respond appropriately.

Our Organisation

247 Rapid Response Ltd is a UK-based emergency maintenance company delivering rapid, reliable services across London and surrounding areas. We operate a network of vetted self-employed engineers and subcontractors, supported by an internal management and administrative team. Our services cover plumbing, gas, electrical, drainage and general property maintenance.

Our business model involves dispatching freelance professionals to domestic and commercial sites, and working in close collaboration with property management companies, landlords and local businesses.

Our Policies on Modern Slavery

We have implemented a number of internal policies that reflect our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity:

  • Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy. Prohibits modern slavery and sets clear expectations for all staff, contractors and suppliers.
  • Subcontractor Code of Conduct. All subcontractors and freelance engineers are required to sign and adhere to our Code of Conduct, which includes specific clauses relating to anti-slavery and ethical working practices.
  • Whistleblowing Policy. Enables employees, subcontractors and partners to report unethical practices, including any concerns related to modern slavery, in confidence.
  • Supplier Vetting Procedure. All suppliers undergo due-diligence checks to assess risk, including questions related to their employment practices and compliance with modern slavery regulations.
  • Health, Safety & Welfare Policy. Ensures working conditions are compliant with UK standards, and staff are not subject to exploitative or unsafe conditions.

Procedure

To underpin our policy commitments, we are in the process of implementing the following measures over the course of the financial year 2024 to 2025. Our contractual documentation will incorporate specific prohibition against slavery or servitude, the use of forced, compulsory or trafficked labour and the use of child labour in line with this policy. We will also make provision for our contracted suppliers to hold their own suppliers to the same standards. We also reserve the right to terminate any contractual arrangement if there is a breach of this policy.

Compliance and Enforcement

This policy is communicated openly to all employees, contractors, and suppliers and is published on our website to promote transparency. We actively engage with our supply chain partners to foster awareness and ensure compliance with our ethical standards.

Failure to comply with this policy may lead to disciplinary actions, including termination of contracts or employment and potential legal consequences. We are committed to enforcing these measures strictly to maintain a slavery-free environment across all our business activities.

Training and Awareness

We invest in training to raise awareness among our staff, particularly those involved in procurement, human resources, and supply chain management. This training helps employees recognise the signs of modern slavery, understand their legal responsibilities, and promote vigilance in our supply chain oversight. We update our training regularly to reflect new risks and best practices.

Responsibility

The board of directors has overall responsibility for this policy and ensuring the Company complies with all its legal and ethical obligations. All line managers are responsible for ensuring that those reporting directly to them comply with the provisions of this policy in the day-to-day performance of their roles.

Communication and Employee Awareness

The HR department will see that all staff receive adequate training (if applicable) and communication on this policy and any supporting processes applicable to their role.

Breaches of this policy

Any breaches of this policy will be taken seriously and dealt with on a case-by-case basis. The breach of this policy by an employee, director or officer of the Company may lead to disciplinary action being taken in accordance with our disciplinary procedure. Serious breaches may be regarded as gross misconduct and may lead to immediate dismissal further to our disciplinary procedure. Everybody to whom this policy applies will be expected to co-operate to the fullest extent possible in any investigation into suspected breaches of this policy or any related processes or procedures.

Status of this Policy

This Anti-slavery policy will be reviewed on a regular basis. This policy does not give contractual rights to individual employees. The Company reserves the right to alter any of its terms at any time, although we will notify you in writing of any changes. We keep records for as long as necessary in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Wherever possible these will be treated as confidential.
