High-pressure water jetting is the gold-standard method for clearing significant drain blockages. The water pressure (1,500,4,000 PSI depending on pipe size and material) physically scours the inside of the pipe, removing fat-oil-grease deposits, limescale, root infiltration and accumulated debris that mechanical methods can't shift.

We operate twin-tank jetting rigs with 3,000,4,000 PSI capability and a full range of specialist nozzles, descaling rotary nozzles, root-cutting chain nozzles, and wash-down spray nozzles for post-jetting cleanup. Every jetting job is followed by CCTV verification to confirm the line is clear and identify any remaining structural defects.

Frequently Asked

Your questions answered

How much does drain jetting cost?
There is no callout fee for emergency work, so you pay only for the labour at the rate for the time of day, plus any materials. Labour runs from £75 / 30 min (daytime) up to £147 / 30 min (nighttime) (see full pricing), all inc VAT. CCTV survey included on most jobs.
Will high-pressure jetting damage my drain?
Properly conducted, no, jetting at appropriate pressure (1,500,3,000 PSI for domestic, up to 4,000 PSI for commercial) doesn't damage sound pipework. However, if the drain has pre-existing structural defects (fractures, joint failures), jetting can sometimes reveal them. We always CCTV-verify post-jetting.
How long does jetting take?
Typical residential blockage: 60,90 minutes. Commercial restaurant grease line: 2,4 hours. Severe root infiltration: half-day or full day. We aim to complete in a single visit.
Will jetting permanently fix tree-root infiltration?
Jetting with chain-flail nozzles cuts roots back, restoring flow temporarily. But unless the underlying joint defect is repaired, roots will regrow within 12,24 months. Permanent fix is mechanical root removal + drain relining (CIPP) over the affected section.
Can I rent a jetter and do this myself?
Domestic-grade DIY jetters operate at 1,000,1,500 PSI, fine for sink trap clearances but inadequate for serious blockages. Commercial-grade equipment requires training (pressure misuse can cause injury). Not a recommended DIY project.
