Drain relining is the most cost-effective way to repair a damaged drain that doesn't require complete replacement. A felt or fibreglass liner pre-impregnated with structural resin is inserted into the existing pipe via inspection chamber, inflated to the pipe wall, then cured (with hot water, steam, UV light or ambient cure depending on resin type) to form a fully structural new pipe inside the old one.

The result: a single seamless pipe with no joints, no infiltration paths for roots, smoother bore (improved flow), and a lifetime expectancy of 50+ years. Cost is typically 40,70% less than open-cut excavation, with no garden, driveway or floor disruption. We use iLINE liners and Brawoliner systems with UV and ambient cure capability.

Frequently Asked

Your questions answered

How much does drain relining cost?
Drain relining is priced after a free on-site consultation and a written fixed-price quote, with no obligation. It is significantly less than equivalent open-cut excavation work.
How long does drain relining take?
Typical residential single-lateral relining: 4,8 hours on site. Multi-lateral or commercial: 1,2 days. No customer disruption, drains remain usable immediately after curing.
What's the lifetime of a relined drain?
Modern CIPP liners (epoxy or polyester resin systems) have a structural design life of 50+ years, comparable to new drainage. Many UK water authorities now use CIPP as their primary repair method on Victorian sewer networks.
Will my insurance pay for drain relining?
Most home insurance buildings policies cover drain damage caused by sudden insured perils (subsidence, tree-root damage, freeze damage). Gradual deterioration is typically excluded. We provide insurance-grade reports for direct claim.
Can you reline drains under a building or driveway?
Yes, that's where relining is most valuable. Drains running under floors, driveways or extensions can be repaired without breaking up the surface above. The cost saving vs excavation is often 70%+ on these jobs.
