Toilets are the most-used plumbing fixture in any home and one of the most common to fail, flush valves wear, fill valves stick, pan seals perish, cistern washers harden. Most repairs are quick, cheap and don't require pulling the toilet out.

We carry spare flush mechanisms, fill valves, pan seals, wax rings and cistern internals from major manufacturers (Geberit, Roca, Vitra, Bristan, Armitage Shanks, Twyford) in every van, meaning most repairs are completed on the first visit at fixed-fee pricing.

Frequently Asked

Your questions answered

How much does it cost to fix a toilet?
Component repairs (flush valve, inlet/fill valve, pan seal and similar) are priced per our published rate card (see full pricing), inc VAT. A full toilet replacement (supply & fit) is priced after a free on-site consultation and a written fixed-price quote, with no obligation.
My toilet is constantly running, what's wrong?
Almost always a failed inlet (fill) valve or a stuck flush valve seat. A relatively cheap fix, priced per our published rate card (see full pricing), inc VAT. A constantly running toilet wastes 200,400 litres of water per day, which Thames Water bills you for, so worth fixing fast.
Can I replace a toilet myself?
Mechanically, yes if you're handy. But: (a) any work that connects to the soil stack must comply with regulations (Water Supply Regulations 1999); (b) a poorly-installed pan seal will leak silently for months and rot floorboards; (c) Building Regs require certain installations be notified. We'd recommend professional fitting on anything beyond a simple like-for-like swap.
How long does a toilet replacement take?
Like-for-like replacement: 60,90 minutes. New location requiring soil-pipe alteration: 3,5 hours. Macerator-based replacement (no gravity soil pipe access): 2,3 hours.
Do you fit Saniflo / macerator toilets?
Yes, common in basement bathrooms and en-suites where gravity soil-pipe access isn't available. We fit Saniflo, Sanibest and Sanivite. Note macerators have specific use limitations (no quilted toilet paper, no wipes); we'll explain on installation.
