Leak detection in Lewes.

South East Water delivers hard water at 270 to 310 ppm CaCO3 across the Lewes district, and that mineral load does two things to pipework over time: it deposits scale that narrows bore and raises pressure differentials, and it masks slow pinhole leaks by depositing a thin crust that conceals the breach from visual inspection. Our survey methodology is non-invasive. Thermal imaging maps temperature anomalies across floors and walls; acoustic correlation pinpoints the leak source to within a few centimetres without lifting a single tile; where the pipe geometry or depth makes acoustic work inconclusive, we introduce a safe tracer gas that migrates to the surface and is detected above the leak point.
