Ashford's property stock splits cleanly into two drainage worlds. In the Victorian railway terraces of central Ashford – many dating from the 1880s expansion of the railway works – original clay-pipe runs are now well over a century old, susceptible to root ingress, joint displacement, and fatigue cracking that a standard rod will not fix.
