Drainage in Elmbridge.

Elmbridge's combination of large-plot detached properties and very hard Affinity Water – consistently 280 to 320 ppm CaCO3 from the chalk aquifer – creates a specific drainage picture: heavy calcite deposits narrow clay-jointed lateral runs before root ingress even begins, and by the time a blockage becomes noticeable the restriction is typically severe. Our survey starts with a full CCTV camera inspection of the affected run, giving us recorded footage and a precise defect location before any intervention. High-pressure water jetting clears the immediate blockage and flushes accumulated scale; for laterals showing joint displacement or longitudinal cracking we specify no-dig CIPP relining, which avoids disruption to the landscaped gardens common on KT10, KT11 and KT13 properties. Excavation is reserved for collapsed sections or where a relined diameter would be insufficient. Root ingress from mature trees – prevalent around Esher Common and Cobham's established garden plots – is the single most common structural cause we identify.
