Leak detection in Woking.

Very hard chalk-aquifer water at 280 to 320 ppm CaCO3 does disproportionate damage to internal supply pipework in Woking's older stock. Scale deposits force joints to work harder, pinhole corrosion initiates inside galvanised and copper runs that have never been replaced, and the result is a slow leak that often travels considerable distance along a floor screed or behind a plasterboard partition before any surface staining appears. In West Byfleet and Pyrford, where larger detached properties carry longer supply runs, the concealed loss can be substantial before a meter anomaly is noticed.

Our leak-detection surveys deploy three complementary methods: thermal imaging to map temperature differentials across floor and wall surfaces caused by water movement; acoustic correlation to pinpoint the leak position within the supply run without opening the fabric; and tracer-gas injection for hairline leaks in plastic pipework where acoustic signals are too diffuse to resolve. All three methods are non-destructive and require no excavation at survey stage. Every instruction concludes with an insurance-grade written report giving the confirmed leak location, depth estimate, photographic evidence and recommended reinstatement scope.
