Radiator valve replacement (TRV) across London
When a radiator valve seizes solid or weeps at the base, the cause is usually a corroded valve body or a perished spindle inside, so the temperature control or shut-off stops working. Our Gas Safe registered engineers cover London and the M25, swap the valve cleanly, and typically reach emergencies within 30 to 60 minutes.
Seized, leaking or just outdated radiator valves and lockshields, swapped cleanly with a managed system drain-down and refill.
What we replace, end to end
Single-radiator or whole-house TRV and lockshield replacement. Modern Honeywell, Drayton or Pegler TRVs with double-line balancing. System drained partially (per-radiator) where possible to keep heating running for the rest of the property during the swap.
When radiator valves need replacing
Seized valve head won't turn
TRV body has corroded internally. Sometimes a tap with a spanner is enough; often a swap is needed.
Visible leak at the valve body
Compression joint has failed or the spindle gland has perished.
Modernising old gate-valve lockshields
Pre-1990s system; new lockshields balance properly and don't leak.
Adding TRVs where there are none
Required for new Building Regs compliance on heating system replacements.
What it costs (indicative)
Per-valve labour billed per 30 minutes (1-hour minimum, then 30-minute increments) from £75 / 30 min (daytime) up to £147 / 30 min (nighttime) (see /pricing); valves themselves from £15 (basic TRV) to £75 (thermostatic with remote sensor). Full pricing.
