The uniform build era of Bracknell Forest's New Town housing stock means that the PVCu drainage installed between roughly 1955 and 1970 is now approaching – or well past – its design life in the older phases. The failure modes are predictable: radial cracking at push-fit joints where surcharge pressure has cycled repeatedly over decades, root intrusion from the mature garden trees that now flank many of the estate roads, and partial collapse of smaller-diameter lateral connections where bedding has settled. In Sandhurst and Crowthorne, where some earlier phases pre-date the bulk of the New Town build, clay-collar junctions are still present and particularly prone to displacement.

Our process begins with a CCTV push-rod survey to establish condition and gradient across the affected run. High-pressure water jetting clears any blockage or root mass before a second camera pass confirms the pipe bore. Where the structural survey identifies cracking or deformation, no-dig CIPP lining – the standard fix for this generation of pipe – reinstates the run without trenching.
