Drainage in Test Valley.

Drainage in Test Valley is governed as much by environmental law as by engineering. The River Test and its chalkstream tributaries carry protected status under the Environment Agency's trout-river framework, which means any drainage remediation that could result in discharge to watercourse requires a formal discharge-route confirmation before a single jet of water is used. We carry out that check as part of every CCTV survey.

Our process begins with a push-rod or crawler CCTV camera survey to characterise the fault: root ingress, joint displacement, collapsed barrel or simple grease accumulation. High-pressure water jetting clears blockages and prepares the bore for inspection. Where the pipe fabric has deteriorated but excavation would disturb a protected riparian boundary or a mature garden, no-dig CIPP (cured-in-place pipe) relining is the preferred repair – particularly relevant in Stockbridge and the Mottisfont estate villages where open-cut work carries additional planning sensitivity. Targeted excavation is reserved for isolated collapses that relining cannot address.

Rural properties in SO20 and SP11 corridors frequently drain to private soakaways; infiltration testing confirms whether the soakaway remains compliant or needs rebuilding. There is no callout fee; see /pricing for how the fixed-price model works.
