Drainage in Arun.

Arun's drainage picture is defined by its older parade stock. Back-inlet gullies serving the Victorian terraces along the Bognor seafront and the older Littlehampton parade addresses fail at a higher rate here than almost anywhere else we cover in West Sussex – salt-laden air accelerates the deterioration of ironwork and cement-jointed clay runs, and decades of scale build-up from Southern Water's hard supply narrow already-marginal pipe diameters further.

Every survey starts with a CCTV camera survey to map what is actually there, because the as-built picture for pre-1900 stock rarely matches any drawing. Where roots or sediment are the issue, high-pressure water jetting clears the line; where the pipe itself has cracked, displaced or collapsed, no-dig CIPP relining is typically the proportionate fix – avoiding the disruption of excavating through period tiled paths or established front gardens. Open excavation is kept as a last resort for structural failures that relining cannot safely address.

The 1980s retirement-build bungalows in Rustington and the BN16 corridor present differently: original PVCu drainage is broadly sound but push-fit joints have sometimes backed out over forty years of ground movement. There is no callout fee; price is fixed after survey. See /pricing.
