Drainage in Mid Sussex.

Mid Sussex drainage work is shaped almost entirely by what happened to the original clay pipe when a builder added a kitchen extension. The 4-inch vitrified clay lateral serving inter-war and 1970s semis in Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill and East Grinstead was laid to serve a single kitchen and WC; a subsequent rear extension doubles or trebles the connected load, and root intrusion through the original push-fit joints does the rest. Our process begins with a CCTV survey pushed from the inspection chamber, producing a timestamped record of root mass, fractures, displaced sockets and any misaligned junctions introduced during the extension build. High-pressure water jetting clears the obstruction before we assess whether the structural condition permits no-dig CIPP relining – which in most Hassocks and Burgess Hill semis it does – or whether localised excavation of a single collapsed section is the cleaner solution. South East Water's 290 to 320 ppm CaCO3 supply means scale compound in the pipework is a secondary finding on roughly half our surveys. There is no callout fee; price is fixed after survey.
