Mid Sussex's commuter-belt identity is written into its bricks: inter-war semis on the approaches to Haywards Heath station, 1970s cul-de-sacs spreading back from Burgess Hill, Victorian terraces tucked into the older quarters of East Grinstead. That layered building history – and the drainage systems stitched beneath it – is where 247 Rapid Response works.

The property picture

The dominant stock in RH15, RH16, RH17 and RH19 is the inter-war or early-1970s semi-detached house, often extended at the rear. Those kitchen and utility extensions almost always drain back to the original 4-inch vitrified clay lateral, a pipe now carrying a load it was never sized for. South East Water supplies the district at 290 to 320 ppm CaCO3 – hard enough that scale deposits accumulate steadily inside any supply pipework that hasn't been replaced. Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill, East Grinstead and Hassocks are all within our scheduled service area.

How we work

We visit on a booked appointment: on site within one to two working days, in a 9am to 5pm window that suits occupied homes. There is no callout fee; a fixed price is agreed after our initial survey. We offer two services in Mid Sussex – drainage (CCTV survey, jetting, no-dig relining and excavation) and leak detection (thermal imaging, acoustic correlation and tracer gas).
