Chatham's Victorian terraces and the post-war estates running through Gillingham and Rainham into ME7 and ME8 share a common problem: cast-iron drainage that has been in the ground for fifty to eighty years. Root ingress, displaced joints, and internal corrosion are the standard failure modes here, and many of the older Admiralty-era terrace runs in ME4 and ME5 were never separated – foul and surface water share the same branch, which complicates any relining scope.

Our drainage surveys begin with a CCTV camera survey of the full run, recording defect locations and pipe condition on a coded report. Where blockages or grease accumulation are found, high-pressure water jetting clears the line before the second camera pass confirms clearance. Where the pipe structure is compromised, no-dig CIPP lining is our first recommendation – it avoids disturbing Chatham's dense terrace footprints and most Rochester conservation-area gardens.
