Garrison towns carry a drainage legacy that civilian boroughs rarely match. Rushmoor – covering Aldershot, Farnborough, and Cove across postcodes GU11, GU12, and GU14 – was built out in successive waves to house the British Army and, later, the aerospace industry centred on Farnborough Airport.
